Hi,firstly ı want to confess that ı don't like heroic poems,but ı want to say that these three poems impressed me a lot.I was mostly effected with The Battle of Malden because the folks living there was so faithful to their king that they could do whatever he wanted;no matter how it was hard..Ceadman's composing in his dream was also effective.. Now,ı think, one can do everything following his dreams:))Iliked the Beowulf,too.I wanted to watch it fully:),but we couldn't have time to do it in the class:(.I'm looking forward to what the next classes will show us:)...
ReplyDeletehi!''SPRING'' is a very good poem and it is really effective.When we read the poem,I felt very lovely.Anyway I love spring.The poem icludes some beautiful things such as flowers birds loves animals.....I had a good time this week in the class:)and I want to add that I'm learning a lot of things about english literature..OLEYYYY:D see you next week we will see a strange woman in the history.I will wait it excitedly:))
ReplyDeleteHi!I think we are very lucky to read and learn this kind of masterpieces.I normally interested in literature,poems,and writing(in Turkish).But a person who is studying at language department should also learn the new language in all aspects.This lesson is making my thought valid.I don't like heroic poems much;but ı like the poems or article which was written in ironic way.So ı think Canterbury Tales are the most interesting.I laughed the Wife of Bath a lot ,after ı searched this tale.I want to read Canterbury Tales from the beginning.Spring was another good one.It makes people feel as if they are under the Sun and enjoying the nice day:)If ı have chance to see a film which is adapted from them ;my answer will be the Ceadmon's Hymn.Because its mystical atmosphere is powerful.These kind of poems broaden our knowledge about culture.If only ,we see and read them...
ReplyDeleteın fact ı dont lıke lıteraturebut lıke poems so the poem reletad to sprıng ıs effect me so muc because ıt enjoyable and relaxed on these cold days
